That's 4,000 pounds of weight being held up by a new wing designed for the Samba XXL. Before getting FAA approval, the wing must support at least three times the MTOW of the aircraft (in this case it is 1,320 x 3 = 3,960 pounds) and hold it for at least three minutes. The crane is there to stabilize the wing while the weights are removed.
