If you own a flight training school or a glider operation then Samba XXL is the aircraft you have been looking for. Samba is inexpensive to operate and maintain. It can be employed as a rental LSA or a flight trainer in a conventional flight school. When Samba is registered as a self-launching glider, it serves as an ideal glider trainer, and if you are looking for a replacement for your current tug, Samba XXL can be outfitted with an optional glider tow ring that allows it to tow gliders with a MTOW of 1,320 pounds (and you don't have to worry about finding a tow pilot with taildragger skills). Let's see Evektor do that!
Are you planning to attend Sun ‘n Fun 2019 starting April 2 in Lakeland, FL? If so, look for Mike Tomazin and his brand new taildragger SunDancer directly in front of the tent in the Light Sport Mall area. You can’t miss him, just look for a distinctive aircraft and a big, friendly bear of a man. Stop by and ask him about the Samba XXL. Tell him I sent you.
That's 4,000 pounds of weight being held up by a new wing designed for the Samba XXL. Before getting FAA approval, the wing must support at least three times the MTOW of the aircraft (in this case it is 1,320 x 3 = 3,960 pounds) and hold it for at least three minutes. The crane is there to stabilize the wing while the weights are removed.

Samba XXL is one of the best selling light sport aircraft in Europe. We can import Samba into the USA in a number of ways - as a S-LSA or E-LSA light sport aircraft, flown with light sport restrictions, or as a light sport glider which can be flown without restrictions by a person with a private pilot-glider rating. Besides being a fast aircraft, Samba XXL can also be an effective and inexpensive glider tug. When equipped with an optional tow ring the Samba is capable of towing a glider with a MTOW of 1,320 pounds. Tell all your glider club friends.
